We are in an interesting spot in the markets and we continue to have a “sideways” summer when you zoom out and look at it. Other trades have worked out great including NFLX and others. Let’s look at the possibilities.
Looking back on this trade in NFLX, it was all about trading the rules. Nothing more. When you follow your plan and your disciplined, every once in a while the market will reward you. This time it was with NFLX.

A quick look at the S&P 500 as we head into employment numbers and follow up to the NFLX (netflix) trade that hit the first target today.
The markets traded in a pretty tight range today up around resistance around 1120 on the S&P’s. NFLX pulls back but shows some strength and BHI sold off on earnings right into our first target.

The S&P rallied to the 1.27 extension today and proceeded to have some difficulty as it was rejected. Tomorrow will be interesting to see if the pullback continues or if it gets totally ignored.
